Julie graduated with honors from the College of Charleston in South
Carolina with a bachelor’s degree in Elementary and Early Childhood
Education. In addition to her bachelor’s degree in Elementary and
Early Childhood Education, Julie earned her Infant and Toddler (Ages
Birth to Three) teaching credential from the Montessori Education
Center of the Rockies in Boulder, Colorado. She also earned her
Preschool/Kindergarten (Ages Three to Six) teaching credential from
the North American Montessori Center in Canada and is currently
taking courses to complete her Master’s Degree at the University of
Colorado, Denver. Her studies focus on development and behavior in
young children. In addition, she is studying counseling, learning
disabilities and developmental delays in young children. She is also in
the process of completing her Labor Doula certification from the
Childbirth and Postpartum Professional Association (CAPPA).
Julie has been drawn to working with children and families for most
of her life. She has worked in many different capacities throughout
her career. She has been a nanny, an assistant teacher, and a lead
classroom teacher, to name a few. During her teaching career, Julie
has worked with children from birth through age twelve. Her specialty
is understanding, guiding, and working with children from birth to six
years.
Julie and her husband Paul have lived in Denver for four years. They
now live in the Park Hill neighborhood with their dog, Rocco, and cat,
Etta. They love to ski, camp, hike, travel, and enjoy getting to know
the people and city of Denver better every day.
